The Putumayo collection is a compilation of “real” music that is child appropriate but can be enjoyed at any age. I will confess, I used to listen to Putumayo Kids well before I had children of my own – I couldn’t help myself! It is really that cool.
Our favorites from the new Kids World Party compilation are “Quimbombó” by the Cuban-American Afro-Funk band PALO!, “Le Boogie À Vélo” by award winning Canadian artist Will Stroet, and “Cixiri” by the all female Sardinian group Balentes. Definite party starters! The compilation reflects different ways of celebrating around the globe while driving home the underlying message that we all similar in that we like a good party!
Putumayo will donate 7% of its proceeds from the sale of each CD to Amnesty International in support of its work to promote and protect human rights worldwide.
